Lawrence B. Sorrel, Managing Partner. Mr. Sorrel joined Tailwind in 2003 and is its Co-Chief Executive. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Sorrel was a general partner at Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe, where he was a member of the management and investment committees. From 1986 to 1998, Mr. Sorrel was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and its private equity affiliate, Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. At Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, Mr. Sorrel was a member of the investment committee.
Mr. Sorrel is a director of Aircast Incorporated, Concord Music Group LLC, Hospital Partners of America, Inc., NextMedia Group, Inc., TowerCo Holdings LLC, Trover Solutions, Inc., and Emmis Communications. He is a graduate of Brown University, where he received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude; of Harvard Law School, where he received his J.D. degree, cum laude; and of the Harvard Business School, where he received his M.B.A. |
